Learn how to act in case of an emergency warning.
In Denmark, the authorities can issue warnings in several ways, depending on how serious the danger is. The police may activate accoustic warning sirens or S!RENEN, which can warn you on your phone. Both are activated when the threat of danger is most serious.
The police is responsible for assessing when the sirens and S!RENEN must be activated. They also activate the sirens and S!RENEN.
When you hear the sirens:
- GO inside and
- SEEK information from the national broadcasters DR or TV 2.
Here you will receive the same information as provided via S!RENEN, and you should follow the instructions immediately.
When you receive a warning via S!RENEN:
- STOP what you’re doing.
- READ the message that you get from S!RENEN on your mobile phone.
- REACT by following the instructions from S!RENEN.
S!RENEN will notify you directly on your mobile phone about how to act and where to get more information. You can also get information from DR and TV2.
There are two kinds of siren signals: Warning signal and call off signal.
