Theme booklet: Responding to electric and hybrid vehicle fires
Booklet on emergency preparedness in the event of a fire in electric and hybrid vehicles.
In cooperation with the Danish Emergence Management Organization, the Danish Emergency Management Agency has published two theme booklets on fires in Electric Vehicles. We now present an English version of the most recent of the two theme booklets, titled Responding to Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Fires.
This theme booklet is addressed to those working with damaged hybrid and electrical vehicles. Informed by contemporary research into the area, this theme booklet focuses on ensuring that rescue personnel operate safely and efficiently when working with damaged hybrid or electric vehicles – especially in situations that involve fire.
This theme booklet also contains a number of action cards to be distributed to local rescue-, medical- and police services. Their purpose is to provide inspiration regarding how to approach an incident involving a damaged hybrid or electric vehicle in a manner that is both safe and efficient.
